God I would KILL for a direct flight from Las Vegas to Bangkok. Please! Grant me this one wish! I am begging!
I was staying at a swanky hotel in Bangkok called the Column hotel. It was a huge suite (because I was going to be shooting the scenes in there as well) and I had my own room with a private bathroom of course. Full kitchen, living room, and balcony. Also this hotel had a washer and dryer in it. Fantastic! No more sweaty and gross gym clothes accumulating in my room until I sent them to the cleaners. Good times!
But my 2 favorite things about the hotel were the 24 hour diner located next door joined to both a German bakery AND a Foodland supermarket that was open 24 hours. Perfect! So I could get fresh food AND eat some giant breakfasts before starting my 2 scene days.
My second favorite thing about the Column hotel was the gym. It was located next door to the hotel on the 10th floor (weird). It was basically a giant warehouse with rows of treadmills and exercise bicycles, a full basketball court, a batting cage, and a lap pool.
Additionally, downstairs there was a full locker room, whirlpool, 5 different hot tubs of varying degrees, a fish spa (more on that in a second), a charcoal room, a snow room, a hot room, a wood room, and a salt room. Amazing!
