strange day today, I was not feeling so well in the morning, so I tried to sleep in and see if that helped. Unfortunately, our industrial 2 story loft has one entire wall that is basically a giant window. So we are up when the suns comes up which is about 6am most days.
Additionally I like to get started working early in the morning, I get anxiety from not being productive, even though I work way too hard for not much money. My philosophy for the past couple of years has been to work harder not smarter and just try to outwork people for pennies & nickels. I have the luxury of being debt free & have a significant amount of money in savings, but I understand many of my colleagues don't have either luxury.
I always check the VOD stats for the 5 sites I have titles on, check my Clips4Sale stats, and then check all of my affiliate program stats. I am a sucker for a good Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, I have about 30 of those suckers going for all types of random statistics.
After checking stats, posting affiliate links, and generally reading my morning articles, then usually I get tired again and pass out for an hour or so. Then I am back up and posting promo links on the various accounts I run.
Today I didn't get much accomplished because my parents were arriving and I wanted our house to be spotless. We cleaned damn near every single thing in our entire house, threw trash away, organized, folded, and de-porned our place.
We only live about 8 minutes from the airport, so its pretty easy to just pop out of my house and be at passenger pick-up quickly. Its always nice to spend time with my parents, and we enjoyed a huge Italian lunch of rigatoni bolognese at my Aunt & Uncle's house where they were staying.
They really like my girlfriend. They recognize the previous mistakes I have made, and how lucky I am to have the perfect woman in my life now. Lexi is amazing, so personable, witty, intelligent, and well put together. She makes a great impression with everyone in my life that she meets.
After lunch, I took her home and headed to the gym for a 76 minute bike ride and 1.05 mile run plus some ab exercises.
I spent much of the bike ride in conversation with Mike, who I generally talk to on the phone for about 2.5 hours a day...every day...throughout the day. lol
After the workout, I grabbed dinner for both of us (Subway) and headed home. We ate together, and then watched The Profit in bed. It was a fantastic episode about a BBQ place in South Carolina. We LOVE LOVE LOVE Marcus Lemonis.
Then it was back on the computer to do some editing of videos, rotating of pictures, and figuring out why some photo & video sets didn't get uploaded onto my new TS website that I am building. It is 90 percent done and should be up in a few weeks. I am hopeful that this time it will work, but we will see.
