The last day of the month means that I have to log and record my monthly totals for all kinds of things, affiliate sales, clicks, twitter followers, income, workout totals, and all sorts of nonsense statistical type things that I enjoy doing.
One of my favorite people in the biz, Syren De Mer, was in town and not working either, so we made plans to meet up for lunch. Mexicali is a popular Mexican restaurant not far from where I live, so I met her there around noon.
Syren is one of the best MILF performers in the industry, she is 44 but has the energy of a 19 year old, loves anal, does IR, hell she does it all. She works for Kink, Naughty America, Brazzers, and Girlfriend Films mostly, but honestly if you need any kind of high energy, fantastic scene....just book her.
We have worked together quite a few times and it has always been a good time. I tried to shoot her for Naughty America whenever she came to town (she lives in the Pacific Northwest).
Lunch was great, we caught up on our personal lives, discussed the current state of the industry, and had a few laughs over chips and salsa. After lunch ended, we walked up and down Ventura for a few blocks to properly digest our food and continue our discussions.

She was off to see her agents at OC Modeling and I headed back to the house.
Lexi was supposed to shoot today, but her cameraman fell ill and she just postponed it for another day. That means we spent the rest of the day together, including a nice gym session where I cycled for 52 minutes and ran 1.64 miles in 15 minutes (and I was supposed to be off today....shhhh).
Then it was time for a late meal with my best friend in the biz, Mike the owner of Porn Pros. He was in town for the weekend on business, but had some free time tonight. As we drove to pick him up at his hotel, Lexi lit up a cigarette, super nonchalant like. WTF!
She only had a few drags before throwing it out, but damn! I thought she was a vapor girl only. This is no good my friends. Stay tuned.
We picked up Mike in Burbank and headed for the Promenade, which is where the high end restaurants are located. Lexi found a place on Yelp called Commonwealth, so we decided to try it.
It was DELICIOUS! It was a tapas restaurant, but with an asian fusion. Pork bellies, eggplant, hanger steak, tuna shells, snapper carpaccio, fried chicken, we tried it all. And had the butterscotch pudding for dessert. The owner of the place was our waiter, turns out they have only been open for 2 months, but it was very busy, and the food was delicious! Definitely give it a try the next time you are in Burbank.
We arrived back home, puttered around on the computer, and then it was off to bed for us.
I finished this month with 13 scenes done and 3 content shoots. Which is not bad, of course my normal content shoot total is 4 (one per week) but 3 is okay while my site is still under construction and not updating yet.
Just to make myself sad, I went back to my records to check on historical scene totals for January.

That my friends, is what you call a career arc. From 29 scenes in 2007 & 2008 to 13 in 2014. It is a precipitious drop for sure, but unfortunately no one else is working more than that except for maybe 5 guys (Keiran Lee, Johnny Sins, Johnny Castle, Clover, James Deen and maybe 1 or 2 others). The days of many male performers getting to 20 scenes performed each month is over. And never ever coming back. And with this depressing fact, I will bid you all a good night.
