Everything about the month of November was fantastic. I am serious, this was by far the best month for me emotionally, physically, mentally, work-wise, and personal-wise as well. I am actually sad that the month had to end today. I got to visit Laura in San Diego not once but twice, I hung out with Phoenix Marie more than ever before, I had dinner with the fabulous Lisa Ann, I went to countless dinners and porn parties with so many cool people. Damn what a great month.
Some statistics......I finished the month with 26 scenes done, which puts me at 264 scenes done for the year. Last year I did 281 scenes, so I only need 18 scenes next month to surpass my total from last year. And that will be the 5th consecutive year that I have done more scenes than the previous year. That is one sure way to tell whether I am getting more popular with directors/producers. From less than 100 in 2004, 175 in 2005, 255 in 2006, to 281 last year. My average scene rate has taken a bit of a hit this year, last year I averaged 529 dollars per scene compared to this year, just a shade over 493. I must have done more blowjob and handjob scenes this year I guess. But the blog has generated 3,418 dollars of extra income, which is pretty damn cool. Thanks again to whoever has bought a subscription to any of the sites I work for. (By the way, Fucked up Facials and Fucked up Handjobs has accounted for over 1,100 dollars of my affiliates sales! For some reason, my readers seem to love those sites!)
Okay enough with the math, let's talk about today. I woke up feeling a million times better than I did yesterday, but Phoenix forced me to take some more medicine anyway. God, what a taskmaster! lol
She was leaving today for Vegas because she was shooting for Brazzers tomorrow. Fantastic.
So I was left to my own devices all day. I watched a fantastic football match in the morning, Arsenal vs. Chelsea, which ended with a 2-1 Gunners victory after a questionable non-offsides call.
I just puttered around the house the rest of the day, and even rediscovered my love of World of Warcraft today. I played for a solid three hours at least. I still haven't installed the expansion yet, I think I am going to level my fourth toon to 70 before I do that. Not sure though.
By three o'clock I had cabin fever in a bad way. And although I was still feeling kinda sore and achy, I decided to hit the gym. I swam 1600 meters in 33min 30sec, then I cycled 60 minutes, then I lifted back and biceps, and finished it up with a 15 minute run. I felt fantastic afterward! Just what the doctor ordered!
Then it was time to hit the showers and head down to the Sherman Oaks Galleria. I was meeting my old friend Nicole at the Cheesecake Factory. Nicole used to be the general manager of the Red Jacket nightclub in Dallas, Texas where I worked for the summer of 2000, and then again in 2003 right before I moved to Las Vegas.
Nicole and I have kept in touch, and about 3 years ago, she moved out to Culver City with her boyfriend, Shawn Halpin, who is a kickass standup comedian.
She now is the general manager of a cool little bar called O'Brien's in Santa Monica. She is even friends with The Minion, who frequents it on occasion.
It was fantastic seeing her again. We hadn't physically seen each other since she moved here to LA, which is totally my fault. We spent a lot of time together at one point in 2003, and when I saw her, it all came rushing back.
Nicole is a very, very, very resilient person, and she has to be, because so many curveballs have been throw at her in life. She has a fantastic sense of humor (which makes sense, seeing as she lives with a professional comedian), a hearty laugh and infectious smile. She is very rational and logical, and I can always count on her to say not only what is on her mind, but an unbiased, unvarnished viewpoint on the issue at hand.
We took our time at dinner tonight.......we even shared a peach bellini while talking about lavender drapes, Erasure concerts, and gay porn. Just kidding, we didn't talk about lavender drapes. :)
For dinner she had the mahi mahi special and I had the protein delight, a medium steak with four eggs!
No dinner would be complete without dessert, but having cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory was way too passe. So we shared the lemoncello cream torte, which was delicious.
I really enjoyed tonight's dinner with Nicole. She makes observations about me and my life that I value because she has absolutely nothing to do with the adult industry. She thinks I have lost some of my light hearted innocence, and that the adult industry lifestyle has made me even more jaded than usual. She knows that I am not the most sentimental or emotional guy out there. But she is happy for all my success, and she enjoys reading my blog (she likes girls, but only making out with them and feeling their boobs).
Working for her at the Red Jacket was a lot of fun. Jeremiah was the head of security there, and we were a great combination. The Red Jacket was where I sowed my oats sexually, it was where I first completed the four-fecta (fucking four different girls in a 24 hour span), and where my daily roster was pretty lengthy. I probably had more sex then than I do now, which is pretty strange to think about.
We said our good-byes and promised not to wait 3 hours between seeing each other. That means a trip down to the beach before the end of the year. Or another comedy club appearance, which would make Phoenix really happy.
The last thing of the night, while driving home, my friend Seth Dickens gave me a ring. It seems he finally got his site up and running - Seth Dickens XXX. I know most of you remember my rant/diatribe about the Rocco Reed situation. Well this site is the norm for most male porn performers. Seth and the girls share content, and so it is very inexpensive to both performers. Give it a whirl if you wish.
So I guess we're starting the end of the blog countdown now that December has started? Only 31 more entries left...us fans hope you decide to keep it going in 2009 though.
