Cougars in Heat - Reality Kings (Giving Up The Fight)

Man, this blog is going to seriously damage my reputation for sticking to my guns against all costs.  But I will get to that later in this entry. 

My day started with my first scene of today.  My old friend Bobby G, director/producer/owner of Cougars In Heat needed my services today.  He told me that I would be working with Cameron, a hot cougar that I met on a Naughty America set, but when I arrived on set.....the girl in makeup was Cala Craves!

I did a scene with Cala not too long ago for Naughty America's Seduced By A Cougar site and she was fantastic.  Again, she is older than me, blonde, and has huge fake boobs......count me in!

       

       

       

     

 

The first scene was running a bit behind, so I had time to take one of my patented naps on set.  Man I love a good nap almost as much as sex.  I only wish I were kidding.

My scene got started and it was totally fine, she loves sex, and is an intelligent woman (she has a real job working in the insurance industry), so she understands where to place herself and how to have sex in front of the camera.

My only complaint is one common with girls in the business, when we are in reverse cowgirl, if the girl leans back and puts her hands on my chest, then we are all good.  But if she leans forward, then basically she is sitting on my thighs, which is fine for about a minute, but then gets kind of heavy.  Weight displacement theory on a porn set.......imagine that.

It was now 630pm by the time I got out of there.  I like working for Bobby G and the rest of this crew, they are cool dudes and we spend about half the time cracking jokes and yucking it up.  I am also very proud of him, he has singlehandedly started a very successful website and worked his ass off to get there.  Cougars in Heat has had some ridiculously hot updates this year, and I am appreciative for getting the opportunity to work for him.

I drove home because I was doing a very special second scene tonight......let me explain.

I don't like Reality Kings, I don't like Justin, the guy who is in charge of booking talent, and Mike, the guy who theoretically "owns" the company.  I have stated before that their hiring practices are heavy-handed and ridiculous (as well as illegal if properly challenged).   Did you know that they employ a guy as a production assistant that they won't even allow to be an extra in scenes because he has performed in a gay porn scene one time?  Is that insane or what?

But Phoenix Marie enjoys a very successful and profitable partnership with Reality Kings.  How is that do you ask?  Well about 6 months ago they decided to start a website entirely dedicated to Phoenix and her crazy adventures.

My Sexy Life is the name of it, and she does a different scene every week for it.  It has also been the source of considerable consternation on my part, as Reality Kings wouldn't let me perform for it with her.  Additionally, there is a scene in there with a dude who used to date her before she got into the business, and this really made me upset.  She got him AIM tested and paid him for a scene, and for reasons that really, really, really made me angry.

Just as an addendum, I want to say that so many girls in this business have no fucking idea how to handle their finances.  There are a couple of reasons for this:

1.  girls have a lot of family members who don't make much money and have no qualms about accepting money as freely as she will give it to them.
2.  like most performers, girls get lonely, and thinks that befriending people who need money will help her in some way, shape, or form
3.  girls don't understand the rule that you can not trust a single person in this business other than yourself........ever

So back to her site, her choice of male screen partners not withstanding, it's a pretty damn good idea for a site.  Basically she takes a videocamera on an adventure with her, a dude, and another girl and sex ensues.  Often times in public places or exotic locations.

Tonight, I decided to join the list of boys who have shot for this site, and surprisingly Reality Kings gave her the go ahead.

Finally, it is definitely that time of year again.....Bitching about AVN nominations!  Today was the day that Adult Video News (AVN) releasing their annual list of AVN Awards (our version of the Oscar's), which they nominate 8-10 people in each category and then give an award to the winner on stage at the Mandalay Bay convention center in Las Vegas in January.

Here is the entire list of nominees in every category - AVN NOMINATIONS 2009.  I got 3 nominations this year, for Best Anal Sex Scene with Missy Stone in Missy Behavin' (BLOG ENTRY), Best Group Sex Scene with Roxy Deville (of course) Lela Starr, Shannon Kelly, Paige Morgan, and Marty Romano in King Cobra by Vivid and Jack the Zipper, and finally Most Outrageous Sex Scene with Caroline Pierce and 30 female zombies in Rodney Moore's Night of the Giving Head (BLOG ENTRY). 

I have won 2 AVN awards previously, in 2007 for Best Group Sex Scene for Evil Angel's the Fashionista's, and again in 2008 for Best Group Sex Scene for Vivid's Debbie Does Dallas Again for Paul Thomas.  So my nomination in the same category this year means I have a chance to Three-peat.  Very cool stuff.

But let's not get carried away.  This award stopped being of any importance to the income of performers like 6-7 years ago, and now is just a great promotional tool for fans.  Whether I win an AVN award or not has absolutely ZERO effect on my income.  All that matters in this business is your workload and subsequent income.

But it's fun to see the girls happy to win things, and sometimes AVN awards are great to recognize the directors and producers behind the camera that people might not know about.
