This Is For You Fran!

The girls at the agency called me this morning to tell me that my scene for Relish Films has been moved to Wednesday, which means I will be working twice on that day.  The director, Harry, did call me and ask me to be on standby today just in case the guy he had working wasn't up to snuff, but I never heard back from him, so the dude must have been fine.

Today I had made plans with the lovely and talented Starr to have lunch together at a fantastic restaurant in Covent Garden that was super-kitschy called Papageno, that we dined at last year.  Unfortunately for us, apparently it was closed down a few months ago.  Bummer!

So we reconnoitered, and met instead at a charming little French bistro called Le Brasserie not far from me in Chelsea.  I greeted Starr as she exited the South Kensington Tube Station and we grabbed a table soon after.

Starr is one of my favorite people in this world.  Her MYSPACE & WEBSITE.  Not in the adult business, but in this world.  She is 41, but looks younger, and is as sprite and spry as they come.  I love her energy and her sense of humor is endless.  We have worked together twice in the past, once for Relish Films in a movie called MILF Magic...and the second for Naughty America and Diary of a MILF (anal scene too!).  She is a high energy performer, who really gets into her scenes, it's almost scary sometimes she is so intense.  I can't imagine a scenario where I wouldn't want to work with her.

She was her usual animated self, and we enjoyed a fine lunch together.  She had the aubergine, which is french for eggplant........not really my cup of tea but whatever.  I had a bowl of french onion soup and a cheese & tomato omelette (which Starr helped me eat....lol).

It was great catching up with her.  She leads a strange and lively existence, where she is always on the go, and always has a story to tell.  She is very worldly, and very good at cutting through the bullshit to get to the heart of the matter on things.  I love getting her input and hearing her opinions.

We had a great time together, but sadly she had to leave.  So I walked her back to the tube station, kissed her goodbye and she was on her way.

It was now 2pm.......the perfect time for a pre-workout nap!  I conked out for a few hours, and it was glorious!

Around 530pm, I rallied up and headed to the gym.  I wasn't really feeling it today, not sure why, but I guess it happens.  I ran 1.80km in 10 minutes and then lifted back and biceps, but admittedly not very hard.  I should have cycled and swam, but didn't have the willpower tonight.

I headed back to the room, showered and shaved, spoke with Kirstyn Halborg for a few minutes, and then called my friend Kandy.

I wanted to have dinner tonight at a special restaurant.  About two years ago, Fran the office manager/curmudgeon/mother hen of LA Direct Models, went to a restaurant in Camden Town that she wouldn't stop raving about.  I had successfully avoided going to eat there in the past, but now I had a real reason to go.

When I first started coming to London in 2005, I stayed at the Best Western on Finchley Road.  Next to the hotel was a restaurant called The Globe, and I would pass by there every day.  Well, there was always a party in there, and a great camp drag show as well.  One day I ventured inside and ate a meal there while enjoying it for myself.  It was awesome and the owner of the restuarant, and the main star of the show, Neil, was a great guy.  Ever since then, I would always stop in there for dinner, and catch a show of Neil & The Globe Girls on subsequent visits.  Well his show has gotten so popular that he not only closed down the Globe restaurant to concentrate on the show, but he took his production to a new, bigger and better restaurant....Gilgamesh!  I love it when things coincide like that!

I rang a friend of mine, Kandy, who is not in the business, but does nails for a living and also lives nearby.  She agreed to join me for dinner there, and we made reservations for 9pm.  I took the tube to Camden Town and met her inside the restaurant.

Wow, what a fantastic place!  It has an Egyptian theme, and reminds me of the old Ra nightclub that I used to be a bouncer at in the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas back in the summer of 2001.  The restaurant was at capacity and the show was just beginning.

The food is from a set menu and doesn't have a lot of choices.  For starters, they bring you some sushi, prawn dim sum, and watermelon salad.  Well, I don't eat seafood and I hate watermelons, so I just stared at the food and sighed.  By the way, Kandy can't use chopsticks, and was stabbing the sushi with one chopstick.....hilarious!

For the main courses, she had the beef and I had the chicken curry.  The chicken curry was quite good and very spicy, which I like.  Kandy enjoyed the beef and said the green beans were excellent.

For dessert, they gave us a coconut custard with fruits in it and a vanilla wafer.  Good but not really what I envisioned for the price.

On to the show, oh by the way, we had a celebrity at the restaurant tonight.......can you guess who it is before you scroll down?

The show was unbelievable.  Remember there were at least 150 people in the restaurant, and Neil as the hostess was running around chatting up all the tables.  On stage, the Globe Girls were doing about 5-6 different numbers, including a Grease rendition, Gloria Gaynor, These Boots Were Made For Walking, and a few more.  Neil also does a Happy Birthday comedy type routine that was hilarious as well.

The show made the evening really special.  Kandy had a great time, and I was glad, one because she had a great time, and two because she didn't wear a bra.  Good times.

After dinner, Neil was talking to a table and motioned me over.  It turns out that he was chatting with Heather Mills-McCartney!  Holy shit!  She is very nice and friendly, and smoking hot as well.  Good lord, I love newly divorced women!  I didn't have enough time to hit on her, plus she was with three girlfriends (I would have banged all three of them as well by the way).  But she was kind enough to pose for a picture with me, Neil, and 2 of her friends.  How awesome is that?

After dinner, Kandy walked with me to the tube station, we said our goodbyes, and I caught the tube home.  Great day with great people and good times.  Now if I could only get laid or maybe some scenes........lol.

Oh and the last thing I wanted to mention, Brazzers just launched their newest site Big Tits in Sports.  This is the obvious thing to do since Naughty Athletics and The Real Workout seem to be doing well.  I might not work for Brazzers, but I applaud their liberal use of big tits in all scenes.
